Prerelease Events take the form of a simple sealed tournament. Players build decks for this tournament using the booster packs included in their Prerelease Boxes, supplemented by the promo cards from those same boxes and the bases from the Launch Kit.

• Swiss rounds based on the total number of players registered
• Each round is best-of-3.
• Each round is 55 minutes long.
